Outsourced Logistics Management

Outsourced Logistics Management is designed for companies that regularly handle international trade and want to make their logistics processes more transparent, predictable and cost-effective.

We do not replace your logistics team

In our experience, the most successful collaborations happen when the company's own logistics, procurement or sales team and Mag-Log's experts work together.

  • Internal colleagues know the company's operations, partners and intralogistics processes.
  • Mag-Log provides external professional oversight, market intelligence, logistics control and optimisation opportunities.

Why do companies choose this solution?

Most logistics providers focus on organising the shipment.

Outsourced Logistics Management offers more than that.

It helps you understand the entire logistics process, supports decision-making, increases transparency and creates opportunities for continuous cost optimisation. The goal is not just to organise transport, but to develop logistics operations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly does Open-Book operation mean in logistics?

Open-Book operation means full financial transparency. Unlike the traditional freight model — where the service provider hides its margin in the freight rate — at Mag-Log Transport you see the carriers' original, net market quotes to the last penny. We do not add a margin to freight rates. You pay the clean purchase price, and we charge a pre-agreed, fixed service fee per shipment for overseeing and coordinating the process.

Who can use the transparent invoicing and consolidated billing?

Open-Book operation and consolidated billing are available as part of the Outsourced Logistics Management service for companies that regularly handle import or export traffic and require continuous logistics support.

How does weekly or bi-weekly consolidated invoicing work for ongoing services?

Consolidated billing is designed to radically reduce your internal administrative burden and banking transaction costs. Instead of processing and transferring a separate invoice for every shipment, Mag-Log Transport issues a single consolidated invoice at a pre-agreed cycle (weekly or bi-weekly). This invoice clearly lists the carriers' net fees and Mag-Log's fixed handling fees on separate lines.

Is it worth using the service if we already have a logistics team?

Yes. Outsourced Logistics Management is not designed to replace the internal logistics team. Internal colleagues know the company's operations, partners and processes, while Mag-Log provides external professional support, market intelligence, logistics control and optimisation opportunities. In our experience, the collaboration between the two sides creates the greatest value.

Is it worth working together if we already have an established freight partner?

Yes. The service is not necessarily about replacing existing partners. In many cases, the goal is precisely to make existing logistics relationships work within more transparent, measurable and better-controlled frameworks. We help you compare quotes, evaluate carrier performance and support logistics decisions.

How are carriers selected?

Price is not the only factor when selecting carriers. We also consider the provider's reliability, financial stability, professional experience, availability, insurance background and previous performance. In every case, the goal is to find the solution that best serves the client's interests.

How does Mag-Log help reduce logistics costs?

Cost reduction does not only mean lower freight rates. Optimising logistics processes, selecting the right providers, avoiding documentation errors, better planning and reducing risks often generates greater savings than simply finding a cheaper shipment.

Who bears responsibility during transport?

Physical transport providers hold liability insurance in accordance with the relevant international conventions. Mag-Log Transport carries out freight forwarding activities with its own freight liability insurance and provides support in handling any damage events, claims and insurance matters. Individual cargo insurance can also be arranged for high-value shipments.

What types of companies are ideal for Outsourced Logistics Management?

Primarily manufacturing, trading, importing and exporting companies that regularly handle international goods movements and for whom logistics cost control, transparency and professional support are important. The service can be particularly useful for companies that do not have a dedicated logistics manager, or where the existing team requires external professional support.

How does the cooperation begin?

Cooperation begins with a short preliminary consultation. We review the current logistics processes, the company's goals and challenges, and together determine whether classic freight forwarding or Outsourced Logistics Management offers greater value for your company.

Whether it's a single shipment or optimising your entire logistics processes, our experts will help you find the right solution.
